HUMAN LIFE ACCORDING TO A. SCHOPENHAUER
Three realms of space that may he differentiated in Arthur Schopenhauer’s anthropology have been discussed in this article. These are: the space of nature, the space of rationality and the space of morality. In each of these spaces the two possible ways of existence, called by the author “normality” and “abnormality”, are presented separately. “Normality” and “abnormality” are collective ideas pertaining respectively to average life, devoid of the metaphysical dimension and to life transcending the phenomena of empirical reality.
