The Concept of the Perfective Value in Formal Axiology of Henryk Elzenberg
The concept of the perfective value is a central notion of the axiology of Henryk Elzenberg. The concept can be reached from three different angles: when looking for justification of judgments of obligation, when looking for the subject toward which an affirmative attitude should be assumed and when looking for the generic term under which the concepts of “good” and “beautiful” can be subsumed. As a result of his analysis Elzenberg formulates the definition: “valuable” = “such as should be”, or “possessing a property (resp. properties) that it should posses”.
