Aims and scope
Academic journal publishing articles on theoretical ethics, metaethics, applied ethics, history of ethics and ethical ideas, sociology of morals, moral psychology, ethics education, and reviews of publications from the field. We pay particular attention to originality, clarity and integrity of the published materials.
Peer-review
- Articles submitted to ETYKA for publication are subject to initial qualification by the Editors (the volume editor or thematic editor).
- The texts are assessed only and exclusively in view of their content and language correctness. The ethnic or social origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality and political views of the Authors do not impact the assessment.
- Articles initially qualified for publication are evaluated by two external reviewers, who do not know the identity of the Authors of works under assessment. The identity of reviewers is also not revealed to the Authors. ("double-blind review").
- In case of doubts, the Editorial Team can send the work to additional reviewers.
- On the basis of the reviews, the Editors decide whether to reject our accept the article for publication.
- The Editors can decide to publish the article under the condition that the Author introduces all or a part of the corrections suggested by the reviewers. If the Author does not include some of the reviewers' suggestions in the final text, they should explain to the Editors the reasons why they chose not to do so.
- When making the decision of accepting articles for publication, the following aspects are particularly important: importance of the topic, originality of the proposed solution to the problem discussed, logical correctness of argumentation, clarity of theses, knowledge and manner of application of the existing reference literature, whether their empirical theses are well grounded and their language correct.
