Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- Does the article correspond to the Journal's thematic field?
- Is the article an original work?
- Was the article previously published in it's whole or in significant parts?
- Is the article being qualified by another Journal?
- Have all the Authors been indicated?
- Has the affiliation of every Author been indicated?
- Have biography notes been provided for every Author (up to 200 characters)?
- Are there people on the list of Authors who have not contributed to the preparation of the article?
- Has the ORCID number been provided for every Author?
- Doesn't the article exceed the limit of 40 000 characters (spaces included)?
- Are the references to sources complete and in line with formal requirements?
- Is the list of reference literature complete and in line with formal requirements?
- Have key words been provided?
- Has information been provided as to the founding of the publication, contribution of scientific and research institutions or other entities (financial disclosure)?

Works published in ETYKA are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), which entails acknowledgement of authorship. Under this licence, Authors keep their copyrights and agree that their works can be used again legally for any purpose, including commercial ones, without the need to obtain previous consent of the Author or publisher. The articles can be downloaded, printed, copied and disseminated; under the condition that the authorship is indicated accordingly, together with the place of original publication. The Authors preserve their copyrights to the above-mentioned works without any limitation whatsoever.

Information concerning the processing of personal data on the basis of Art. 13 of GDPR*.
- Data controller
The data controller who decides how the personal data is used is the University of Warsaw (UW) with registered office at ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, 00-927 Warsaw. The controller can be contacted via one of the forms of contact indicated on the website: https://www.uw.edu.pl/kontakt
- Data Protection Officer (DPO)
The Controller has assigned a Data Protection Officer, who can be contacted in matters related to your personal data. You can contact the DPO of UW by sending an e-mail to: iod@adm.uw.edu.pl
- The purposes and legal basis of personal data processing
Your personal data will be processed in order to register and create an account on the website www.etyka.uw.edu.pl and to allow you to use the functions of the above-mentioned website, in particular: submitting papers for publication, carrying out the anonymous review process, and correspondence with authors concerning the papers submitted by them. Your personal data can also be used to inform you about conferences and other scientific events organised or co-organised by the ETYKA journal. The legal basis for personal data processing is article 6, section 1, letter “a” of GDPR: consent to the processing of personal data. The consent can be withdrawn at any time without providing reasons, by sending an e-mail to: etyka@uw.edu.pl
- Data storage period
The data will be processed during the period of 5 years from the moment of removing the account or withdrawing the consent to processing.
- Data recipients
Personal data will be made available to the employees of the University of Warsaw authorised for that purpose, and in justified cases, to ETYKA's partners in the scope necessary to carry out editorial work. Other recipients of your personal data can be entities providing IT services with whom the University of Warsaw has signed a contract under which they become the processor of personal data, as well as entities entitled to receive the data on the basis of law.
- Rights related to data processing
We guarantee to respect all the rights resulting from GDPR, namely: the rights of access to and rectification or erasure of personal data, restriction of processing and revocation of consent at any time. If you consider that the processing of your personal data is carried out in breach of the provisions of GDPR, you can file a complaint to the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
- Obligation to provide personal data and consequences of not providing them
The provision of data is voluntary. If you don't provide them, you will not be able to make use of the full functionality of the ETYKA journal's website.
Consent to the processing of personal data
I hereby consent to the processing of my personal data by the University of Warsaw within the scope specified in the registration form, for the purpose of:
- registering and creating my user account on the www.etyka.uw.edu.pl website;
- submitting papers for publication, subjecting them to the anonymous review process, and corresponding with authors in relation to the papers submitted by them;
- receiving information about conferences or other scientific events organised or co-organised by the ETYKA journal.
- I am aware that I have the right to withdraw my consent at any time, by sending an e-mail to the address: etyka@uw.edu.pl. I have read the information on personal data processing.
