The aim of the analyses that follow is to explicate, disambiguate, and accessibly formulate the meaning of the notion of justice, used in the works of Emmanuel Levinas. This aim is important due to the fact that the notion of justice – as I hope to show – is one of the key terms in the intellectual construction of Levinas’s philosophy, and Levinas himself – I strongly assert – is one of the more important thinkers of 20th century; what further adds to the significance of the aim of my analyses is the theoretical and political importance of the notion of justice in the universal perspective.
