Contemporary Society in the Face of Worldview Pluralism. The Role of Religion in the Society According to Jürgen Habermas

The aim of the article is presentation of the Jürgen Habermas’ conception of the role of religion in contemporary postsecular society. The author discusses the conditions of cooperation, which ac-cording to Habermas, must be fulfilled by various groups within the society in order to enable the realisation of the idea of deliberative democracy, which is a descendant of Kantian concept of the state. Also, the article presents briefly the reservations with regard to the above mentioned conditions of cooperation, which have been expressed by Habermas as well as his critics.
