The aim of this article is to present a very significant concept for many current multicultural deliberations — the right to exit. According to it, every member of a given oppressive or discriminatory cultural community has the right to leave it. The article is an attempt to reconstruct the concept of the right to exit. It takes into account a number of issues hitherto noticed in this debate, inter alia, the mere possibility of ‘exit’, its costs, consequences and functions.
